Hi, just got a new macbook - used migration assistant. Everything moved properly.
Dropbox is there. My new/updated files are showing in dropbox in my folders/files but NOT in dropbox web. What am I doing wrong?

Does the migration assistant move applications as well as data, or just data? If only your Dropbox folder was transferred and not the application itself, then nothing would be syncing. Personally I never trust any type of migration tool to move applications; only data.
Do you see the Dropbox icon in your menu bar? If not, then Dropbox isn't running and won't sync. Try to launch the application, or reinstall it if necessary.
Hi, yes it migrates everything. Yes I see the Dropbox icon in my toolbar. The docs are there in my files but not in the web bit, which makes me assume something is wrong somewhere.
I'm finding various posts about problems with Sonoma/Dropbox compatibility but no solutions thus far...
Answering my own question...it looks likes THIS "
It looks like the problem is solved.
I signed out & in from the 'preferences' tab of the Dropbox app."
Then reinstalled the app.
did the trick. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the update here, @dgww.
Hopefully, that'll do the trick indeed, but if you have any further issues, let us know.
Have a great week ahead!
