I am the owner of a (free plan) Dropbox folder that is shared with others.
I do not seem to have an 'admin console' on after the log in page. Is the admin console available for paid plans only?
Hey @Singing, wishing you a happy Tuesday!
The Admin Console is a feature used by team admins on our Team plans. Therefore it's indeed for paid, Team plans. Is there something in particular that you wished to achieve with this perhaps?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
So I have a folder that I have shared with a few dozen people. Today I became aware that other viewers of the share folder can potentially see the email addresses of all the participants that have permission to view the folder, which is completely undesirable. How can I avoid this situation please?
Hey @Singing, you might want to create and share a link to the folder instead.
The recipients of the link, won't be able to see each other's email address.
It needs to be a "view-only" link, though.
I hope this helps!
If I create a link to the folder, then presumably that link could potentially be shared to others beyond my control? I need have control over who has access to the folder, and then remove people when they no longer need to have access to the information. As far as I'm aware, I could not do this with a link.
Hey @Singing. In this case, you’d need to stick with the shared folder indeed, but it’s not possible for the other members to not see the email addresses of whoever has access to the specific folder.
I can pass this as feedback though to our team, if you wish.
Yes please.
