My account has 7.75 gb of earned space but i am not able to access it . The dropbot is no help does any one know how i can access the space i earned
Hey @JFC1812, does your Dropbox account use the same email address where you received the message about the space? Could you have a second account under a different email address?
Hello, Have you been regularly active on that account? I ask because, according to Dropbox's policy, accounts are automatically deactivated and files deleted if there's 12 months of inactivity
Hi Maher1882Yes the account is active and i can access files but at 2 gb i am told i need more space but my account says i have 7.75 gb. it seem Dropbox are not honouring the additional space i earned by inviting new users. and i cant find a way to discuss it with them
Maybe it's the back up files, What does your Backups page report? Could you please check your quota level on this page and let us know what you see about your Personal Dropbox space?
i dont beleive im using dropbox for backup it looks like they have not honoured the earned extra space i have
Hey @JFC1812, thanks for reaching out to us.
What do the plan tab in your account settings report about your space usage and your bonus space?
And how are you getting notified that you're out of space? Are you getting some kind of email notification?
Hi Hannahthis is the data on my plan page I was at 2.1 gb and have removed all of my pictures back to the size detailed
I am getting an email
Well, spotted that was in fact the case it was an account i did not realize i had thanks for the help
Awesome news @JFC1812!
If you need anything else, let me know!

Hey @cassiem, thanks for the nudge here.
Can you please confirm that the email address associated with your Dropbox account and the address that the email you mentioned went to, are the same?
Hi Hannah, yes i can confirm that's correct
That's strange indeed, @cassiem.
Can you send us a screenshot of the email you received?
Just make sure to hide any personal info on the screenshot.
Thanks Hannah, no problem, here you go. Cassie
Thanks for the screenshot, Cassie!
When was the last email about your quota sent to you?
Also, can you confirm that the email came from one of our official Dropbox domains here?
I just received another email (screenshot attached) asking me to upgrade, the last one was from 9/9/24. I'm sure they are from dropbox. As I said previously I'm also unable to access files through a notification email that a colleague has shared with me, when I follow the link I get to than dropbox landing page that tells me I am out of space.
Hi Hannah, I received another message alert from you overnight but the message can't be opened.
Hi Hannah, I still haven't received a response and am still facing the same issue. Are you able to advise?
Hi @cassiem ,
Thank you for raising this issue.
We've passed your feedback onto the team and they're currently looking into it.
We'll update you as soon as we have any additional information.
