Somehow a parent folder was moved to another parent folder. How do I get it out of there back to its own parent status?
Hi @Mickey T., I hope you're doing well!
Have you tried moving the folder back to where it initially was? You can see more on how to do this here.
If you faced any difficulties while doing so, let me know and I'll be happy to help.
Thanks a bunch!
Yes I did and it worked. Thank you! I was trying to move it from the web access Dropbox, and once I moved it from my file explorer, it worked. I am the owner of both folders so I'm assuming that's why. I have no idea how it was moved inside of the other parent folder.

If you were accessing the folders on your local drive, it's pretty easy to move one folder into another without realizing it. I see it on the network drives in the office all the time. A user will be moving their cursor to a folder with the intent to open it. They click to fast while the cursor is still moving and instead of it registering as a double-click, the OS sees it as a drag and drop and moves the folder.
