HELP - I delete the video i upload on my dropbox from my iphone, but the storage doesnt increase

Hello guys please help me with this problem.

So, i want to increase my Iphone XR Storage by deleting the big video on my gallery. So what i do is, i upload the video to the dropbox, then when its finished uploading to the cloud. i delete the video from my iphone, as simple as that.

But the problem is, when i delete the video. My storage isn't expanding, it doesnt move at all. i already check the recently deleted file and it's empty cuz i already deleted it.

So i try to delete video without uploading it first to the dropbox, and the storage is expanding like normal

I already delete the dropbox app, assuming that the video storage move to the app storage on dropbox, but once again, it's pretty useless.

Can you help me guys with this problem? I delete around 5GB of videos, and it doesn't go and my storage detail doesnt show up so i didn't know where the storage go

Go into Settings within the Dropbox app (Account tab, gear icon), scroll to the bottom and clear the cache.

I try it, it doesn't work. I even delete the video on dropbox so it doesnt contain anything in the app anymore. Still doesn't free up my space. Any othe advice?

Hi @kelvinmizanin, if you delete the video from the Dropbox mobile app, it would delete from the site, and might free up the cache in the app.

However, if the space on the phone isn't being freed up, even after clearing the cache, then that would be something related to the phone. If your phone storage isn't freeing up, then it might be worth looking into that with the developer of the device.
