Can anyone tell me when I upload photos, it says Only You. What does that mean

It means only you have access to the files. You haven't shared them with anyone.
If you upload images to Dropbox and it reads "Only You," it implies the files are set to be private and only you may access them. You can choose the privacy and sharing options for your files and folders in Dropbox.
Files uploaded to Dropbox are normally private by default, which means that only the account owner (you) may access them. By doing this, you can be confident that your files are safe and won't be shared without your specific permission.
When uploading images, if you get the "Only You" message, it means that the files are set to be private and won't be shared with anyone else unless you change the sharing settings or specifically share the files with particular people.
Can you please tell me how to change this setting

Change it to what? If you share the files with someone that column will update to show the number of people that have access.
Change the setting to share
Hey @debbru, sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that you can share via multiple ways in Dropbox.
For example, you can share the files or folders you'd like directly with others or even share a link to your files or folders with them.
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Can you tell me where to find the privacy and sharing option
Hey @debbru!
Can you first let us know what you'd like to do?
Do you want to share your files with edit permission, so that the people accessing them can also edit/delete them?
Or do you want to give them view-only permission?
With view-only, they'll only be able to view the files and download them, but not edit/delete the original ones.
When I upload something, I notice it says 'only you' rather both members can view it, so how do I change it? Do you understand what I'm saying?
This is expected since you're uploading to your own Dropbox account @debbru
When you say both members, can you elaborate please?
For example, did you create a shared folder where you're uploading those files and the other person is not seeing them?
I've got a shared account with my boyfriend
When you say a shared account, are you sharing the same credentials for an individual account @debbru ?
Sorry what do you mean? My boyfriend sent me the invition
Are you using the same email address and password to log into the account in question?
yes. Somethings I upload go to both of us, but others just say 'only you'
I think there's a bit of a confusion here, @debbru, but let's see if we can clarify things.
If you're both sharing the same one Dropbox account, anything you would both upload to the account, would be accessible by both, since you're both logging in to the same one, even if it says "only you".
However, if each of you has their own Dropbox account, but the files you upload say that "only you" can access them, it means you need to share those with your boyfriend's account, so he can access them as well.
I hope that makes sense!
How do I change the settings so he can see everything I send him
Hi @debbru, can you clarify based on Hannah's response, which route you're choosing?
If you have two individual accounts, you should be able to share content with your boyfriend. Do you have any issues when trying to follow the steps Hannah provided?
