I also have a macbook installed with Mac OS Ventura.

Tried installing the dropbox app through the link shared with you. But still the app is not able to run. I get notified regarding permission error saying couldn't start dropbox.

please help me out

Do you happen to have the .txt file with the error log to show us? A screenshot would be perfect.

The error you are encountering is a temporary one and should be fixed by a simple restart of the Dropbox desktop app. Can you follow these steps?

-If Dropbox is still running:

-Stop Dropbox by clicking on the Dropbox icon in the menu bar.
-Click on your profile picture or initials.
-Click Quit.

To restart: Restart Dropbox by double-clicking on the Dropbox icon in the Application folder.

If the issue persists following the restart, please let me know and we can investigate further.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled dropbox application many times. Still no luck. I'll try this coding with advance reinstall. let me see if it works. Currently I have installed the dropbox app. Let in reinstall and try this way.

On the same topic, I had to reinstall the Dropbox app after upgrading to Ventura. Seems to work OK but the Dropbox icon on the menu bar - very handy to monitor the activity - has disappeared. Any solution please ?

Hi @Jay, problem solved, the icon was hidden behind the webcam notch on the new MacBook Pro ! Juste removed some other icons on the left of the menu bar to make it reappear.

It won't work for me. When i click on the icon in my menu bar, a box opens and a seres of ble trapesoids move aorund but nothing happens. I can access dropbox through google, but the icon doesn't work?

I already responded with the image of the "starting up screen. Nothing is fixed. I cant gret it to work.

I sent the screen shot. I have restarted the mac and nothing changed.

Do you see any errors on your end when trying to open the app?

i just updated to Ventura 13.2.1. I have been unable to get Dropbox to lad properly since upgrading to Ventura. Apple said it would require an update, so I figured that this new update would solve the problem, but it hasdn't. When I clicked on the Dropbox icon in the top menu bar, which is grayed out, it opens up a dialogue box, in which blue trapezoids move around and around but nothing ever happens.

Hi @SPZero, could you temporarily disable any antivirus or firewalls you may have running on your computer and try again to see if the app behaves the same?
