Anyone else finding that since the update, they can't get images to upload to dropbox on their iphones anymore?
Hey @Jodes, let's try one more step, please.
Feel free to uninstall the app, reboot your phone, then re-install. If this doesn't work, take a screenshot of the error message you get, and send it back to me here, so I can have visual too.
Hi again, @Jubilbae!
I understand that you’re still having an issue with uploading files to your Dropbox mobile app, correct?
If yes, then you should be able to add a screenshot here of the error you're receiving by clicking on the small camera icon that should be located above your message box (right before you post your reply on this thread).
@Nancy sorry, I already deleted the app and found another means to save my files
Hello everyone,
I'm having the exact same issue after the latest iOS 16.3.1 update.
For example, if I take a screenshot from iPhone and then try to upload it to a Dropbox folder, I'm receiving the following message / error:
"Sending failed.File upload failed. Check and try again."
I already reinstall the Dropbox app, restarted the phone, but the issue persists. How to solve it?
Hi @leandrosilva, I'd be happy to help!
You mentioned that you have some issues when trying to upload your content to your Dropbox account. What is the version of the Dropbox app on your mobile?
Also, can you walk me through the steps you follow, in order for you to upload the content? Do you click the + button in the Dropbox app, or go through your files on your mobile, then click "share"?
Keep me posted!
Hi @Megan,Thanks for your reply.Dropbox App version: 316.2.2.Please find below the detailed steps:01. Take the screenshot (pressing the side button and the home button at the same time);02. Click on the screenshot (while it’s showing its preview on the lower left corner);03. Click on the upload icon (top right corner - icon: arrow up inside a rectangle);04. Select Dropbox (from the installed Apps available);05. Select the Dropbox folder where to upload the file;06. Click on Save (top right corner);07. Sending file;08. Error: "Sending failed. File upload failed. Check and try again."
Same with me. But on the WEB it’s OK !
Hey @leandrosilva and @roger272, thanks for letting us know about this.
I tried to reproduce this on my end, but I'm not having any issues.
Can you tap on 'account', then on the gear icon, then on 'clear cache', and restart the app, to see if that helps?
Hi @Hannah,
Thanks for your reply.
I already 'clear cache', 'clear history' and even re-installed Dropbox app, but the problem remains.
Hi @leandrosilva, the steps you mention were via the OS interface. Could you try manually opening the Dropbox app, pressing the + button and then uploading the image to a folder?
Hello @Jay,
If I open the Dropbox app and then press + button, the upload is working.
Via OS interface (which is the method, I generally use) always worked without any issue (before the latest iOS 16.3.1 update).
I believe I'm not the only user experiencing this issue via OS interface, correct?
Well, this is an important issue Dropbox is already aware of. Been almost a week with this, and many topics here at community. I've reached out on twitter, they imddiately replied, I followed the steps, and it worked regular for the first file uploaded.
Then from the second file on, I would get the failure message, but the file would still get uploaded.
But from the third on it's not uploading anymore.
So we are back to 0.
EDIT: Okay, just saw on the other topics that there was an update and it fixed the issue. I'll be updating mine now.
Apparently, the issue has been solved yesterday with the latest Dropbox update to v316.3.
