Why is the upload folder location no longer persistent when using 'Share to Dropbox Android app'

Question

Uploading images or other files from Android phone to Dropbox via 'share to Dropbox Android app', the behavior used to be that the folder I navigated to and used for uploads would be persistent across sessions & days, unless I changed location on a subsequent upload. Now the upload target directory resets to the top level of my Dropbox directories each time I start a new upload session. How can this be fixed, either by users or Dropbox, to return to previous behavior?

We haven't received any similar reports to any changes in how the Android app processes the request to upload files.

Could you let us know a few more details about your set up, namely the device you're using, what version of Android you're running, and the Dropbox mobile app version? Also, do you know if there have been any recent updates to your OS or the Dropbox mobile app since you've noticed this change?
