I'm trying to upload a QuickBooks backup file to Dropbox, something that I do regularly, and the upload window is just showing "waiting" and not doing anything. What's happening here?
I am using Google Chrome for this purpose, and I actually tried to upload it three different ways: 1) Drag and drop from the flash drive I use for preliminary storage; 2) click "Upload" on the Dropbox page; 3) copy the document and attempt to paste it to the folder in Dropbox. Each time I got the same "Waiting" and no upload success.
What I finally did was restart my computer, delay doing anything for a few hours, then trying again to drag and drop, and this time it worked.
Thanks for your reply.
Hi there @Swackhamer Meeh - thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Can you let me know how exactly you're uploading the file in the first place?
If you're using a web browser, have you tried clearing its cache and/or using another browser?
When it comes to QuickBooks, you can also have a look at this discussion.
Keep me in the loop anyhow!
Happy to hear you were able to resolve the issue, @Swackhamer Meeh! Thanks for sharing your solution with us. If you need something else, or the issue occurs again, feel free to ping us.

Hi, Theresaโ
While we have not yet managed to achieve the "paperless office" that was touted a few decades ago when workstation computers were first being introduced, we do not generate much paper these days and don't want to keep it around, so we use Dropbox as an electronic filing system for our various companies. If we have a paper copy of [whatever], I scan it and file it in Dropbox and then dispose of the paper (I do love my shredder!).
Thanks for the inquiry, and I appreciate the help this community provides.
