I'm trying to exclude folders via selective sync to free up hard drive space, but it's not working.

Hello – How do I fix this?

I am trying to sync dropbox.com with my laptop, but I have run out of space on the laptop.  Dropbox.exe suggested that I free up space so it can continue to sync, but the issue is that the only place I can do that is to remove files from the dropbox folder, which is a non-started

I when Into selective sync to not include folders, but it seems that dropbox.exe still wants to sync files that I marked to omit from the sync.

How to I get dropbox.com to first to process the selective sync task before syncing anymore files

thanks for the  info —— is  the  "folder"   .dropbox.cache   file that the   omitted  folders  are  migrated to?

Selective Sync still requires space on the disk I'm afraid because it moves everything to a hidden local internal folder first (as a data security method).

Unfortunately I cannot think of a way of making it forced work without creating space on the first first.
