I have a personal account and a team account. The team account is hosted on my Mac running macOS Tahoe. When I try to log in to my personal dropbox the team account opens.
How can I open the personal account?
Hi there, @ColinSutton, let's see what we can find about this together!
First you need to ensure both accounts are linked and you are actively logged into them on your device or browser. When you're trying to sign into the app with your personal account, are you also connected to the same account online on our website?
Also, just to clarify: are you able to use these steps to switch between your accounts?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
I didn't know about linking accounts. I tried to follow your link "these steps" which gives 404 not found. So I edited the link (https://www.dropbox.com/homehttps://help.dropbox.com/account-access/switch-between-accounts#desktop) to remove the first https, then eventually saw the instructions at https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/link-unlink-two-accounts
I'm running on a mac mini M1 Tahoe 26.5.2 with dropbox version 260.4.2936 Standard account.
Can I give you any more information to help solve this?
Try going to here and click on 'Linked Accounts'.
Note you can only link a Business and a Personal. You cannot link 2 business or 2 personal for example.
Hmm. It shows that the account used by my team is a personal account. But it is a 'Standard' account with ten members we have been using since at least 2011. How do I make it recognised as a team account?
@ColinSutton, can you send me a screenshot of what you see on your end (including the type of plan your Dropbox team is on)?
Hi there, @ColinSutton!
Hope things are going smoothly! Just wanted to check if you still need a hand. If all's well, feel free to share what did the trick.
