Violation of TOS and Acceptable Use Policy.

Hello. I'm facing huge problems with my files because I got this on last friday.

Looking through the guide lines, I didnt violate nor, I EVER SHARED ANY LINKS to anyone. Thats absurd. I got an email saying that I would still have access to my files until July 9th but trying to access them, my account got blocked and I only got this asnwer.

I have important files from Germany government as well as Brazilian government of a special project we are doing in the Amazonas and I cannot look at them because of this violation. I need serious help. I have been using dropbox for 3 years and never got any violation. All the files inside of it has been the same for this 3 years and suddenly I lose access to them. Thats crazy.

I really need someone to help me take them out. Tomorrow Im going to file a formal complain against dropbox. Thats absurd.

No, thats why, if theres no formal answer from them, I will warn both countries legal teams so that they can do something. I'm 100% sure and Im betting my entire career on that. I did not violate any terms. I didnt have any malware, nor CP (thats even more absurd), nor I shared anything, nor was I attacking or doing any DDOs on their servers.

I will wait tomorrow for their answer. After that, I will make legal moves.

I'm afraid nobody here can help. The only thing you can do is reply to that.

The T&C's are quite watertight and, based upon previous posts on here, they have been very very strict on closures when it violates the T&C's.

Do you have a backup you can restore from elsewhere?

Hi Mark and yes, I never shared any links to anyone. My only activite this week has been some spreadsheets and some personal pictures, I uploaded to my personal folder. I only updated personal things and my work related stuff. All the other material is still the same and has ever been the same for the past three years.

What I found strange, was that I got an email saying that my subscription wouldnt be renovated and thats not a problem but that I would still get access to my files until July 9th. So, I didnt have any backups because I was sincronazying the files between my main desktop, two thinkpads and my phone.

It doesnt make any sense, whatsoever. I only opened a second ticket because I only got this reply on the first one

details: Hello. Today I recieved an email saying that my account would

no longer be Dropbox Plus, until July 9th and that my files would still

remain in my folder, etc. So, I tried to login in normally, because on

the 13th of June, I paid the subscription normally, I have the reciept

of it, I paid via credit card and today I get the news that I cannot

access my files anymore. I have important pictures of myself, my kids,

my wife, videos when I was younger, work related files. If at least, I

wont be able to get to be a client anymore, let me download my stuff or

let me pay a fee to download my stuff. I didnt violate any customers

terms or services.

Please, I'd like an answer. Thank you.

Saying that I only violated but they didnt said anything more. I have very specifics for this project thats currently unfolding right now at Brazilian Amazonas and if the team cannot get on the hands on some of the engenieering documents, Dropbox will recieve formal complaints from Germany as well as from Brazil. Thats absurd.
