I recently accepted an invitation to a shared folder from another user and now that's the only folder I see on my account. I had close to 1 Gig of files which are no longer visible
Seems like my Dropbox Plus account has been downgraded to the free version. I did not initiate this
What does www.dropbox.com/events show?
My guess is that when you accepted the invite to the share you actually set up a second new account and so all your files are on the orginal one.
Edit based upon follow up post:
You have certainly set up a second account then.
Thanks for the hint—that's exactly what happened. Rather than add the new folder to my existing account, Dropbox created a new account
Much appreciated
Pleased you got sorted. You can always share it to your main account and delete the new one if needed.
Just in case anybody else reads this, Dropbox cannot just create a new account, it has to be done by the end-user, but, if you are like me you often dont read the screens and popups!! :)
How do we get back to our original account? I signed in with my Google account which is different than the email I originally used, and it's got me by "the cookies" now to see only the Google email —- how do we log out and start over? there is no log out feature.
Hey @MadMatts - you should be able to log out from your account through your account's avatar on the lower left corner of your screen.
Let us know if you need anything else.
