I see a new empty Dropbox account after reinstalling macOS Sequioa.

Hi. 

I had to re-install sequoia and consequently everything else.  

The dropbox desktop installation invents some strange apple related account which is empty - and I can't connect it to my existing account . 

This happens even when I'm logged in online and use the option to instal there under account data  or if I just download the dmg after a search elsewhere.

I'm at a loss as to what to try next. All suggestions appreciated

This sounds quite peculiar indeed, so let’s have a look. 

First off, can you send me a screenshot of the Apple-related account that you mention in your post? 

What do you see exactly, if you try to log out of the new Dropbox account and sign back in to your old one instead?
