For files in the phone app, if I update a file in my desktop, it takes a while for my smartphone app to update it. It would be nice to have a button for that file to be manually refreshed to the newest version.
Thank you!
Hi @shahka, Great idea! You can also follow these steps on how to refresh you files on your mobile phone Dropbox application.
>Open the Dropbox app.
>Navigate to the folder or file list you want to refresh.
>Swipe down from the top of the screen — this triggers a refresh.
>Wait for the spinning icon to stop; Dropbox will sync updates.Let me know if this works for you.
Thank you for the speedy reply!
For context, I have text files that I use to quickly send ideas or links back and forth to my phone and my desktop.
Swiping down does refresh that folder, but it seems to take a while, perhaps because I have many files (some large) in that folder and the app is looking to refresh all them. Otherwise, it does eventually work though, if I'm patient, so thank you for the immediate solution!
Initially testing it out, if I'm impatient and I don't let it fully refresh, I end up crashing the phone app. Another time, it said I had to open the file with a different app because I lost network connection with Dropbox. But as long as I'm patient heh, it seems to work. Appreciate it!
Great to hear @shahka ! It might take sometimes to load and sync especially with large files and also network/ internet connection plays a ****** role in the process. Let us know if you need any help.
