Free versionI have a file on my computer with three columns that was always visible in my dropbox completely. Now the right hand column is being cut off in the Dropbox version only. I have not changed any of my settings.
Hey @Stevenginz, I hope you're doing well!
Would you mind clarifying if you're using our website or desktop app to preview your file?
What file type are we talking about, and do you happen to have a screenshot, in order for me to have a visual?
Let me know more!
Hey @Stevenginz, what file type does this happen to?
Is it all of your content, or some of them? If you try to preview the content online, do you see the same thing?
Have you tried clearing your browser's cache or using another browser perhaps @Stevenginz?
So, you're using the desktop app on your Mac to preview the file and not a web browser like Safari or Chrome @Stevenginz? Could you maybe send us a screenshot of how the file looks like on your end so that we can have a visual too?
Hey @Stevenginz, try to close the Dropbox application on your computer and let us know if the issue persists with the app closed.
aha the 3rd person at dropbox....
I followed the link and dont see anything at the top to close on my mac, also how to clear cache
If you're using the Dropbox desktop app, Steven, you should be able to see a small Dropbox icon in your menu bar, can you check once again and let me know if you can see it?
view group actin search are the items up top
no menu bar
@Stevenginz, to clarify, are you looking at the top-right corner of your screen, where your clock settings should be showing, too?
You can also double check how the Dropbox icon should be showing in your menu bar here.
Hi @Stevenginz, could you attach a screenshot while hiding all the personal information, in order to understand what you're experiencing?
sorry can't do that, but it won't add anything new, right sided 3rd column is gone remotely
I'm afraid the issue is still not clear to us without a screenshot @Stevenginz
If you can't add one here, may we reach out via email to have a further look internally?
Hi @Stevenginz,
Without more information such as file type and a screenshot, we don't have enough information to assist you further. At this point, it's best that we reach out via email to gather more information. Would you mind if we sent an email do the address you used to sign up for the Community?
Thanks,
Ben
@Stevenginz, keep in mind that you can hide the contents of the document that you don’t want us to see via screenshot (we didn’t ask for the actual document).
Even via ticket, we’ll need a visual (screenshot) to see the exact issue you're having and troubleshoot further.
Let me know if that’s alright and we can proceed with your email/ticket.
ok
not sure how to hide it and show it
we can e mail
make any questions clear for a MAC novice
Thanks for the cooperation @Stevenginz
I've just sent you an email to investigate, so please have a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there.
