Hi there, @MysticLenz, and thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.
Can you please clarify how this link was generated?
And are you trying to save files from this link to your Dropbox account?
If the link doesn't have an option to export files directly to other apps, I believe you'd need to save the files to your device first and then upload them to Dropbox.
Please let me know if I misunderstood your question, though.
Thanks!
Hey @MysticLenz, where are you trying to download the images to? Your device or do you want to save them to Dropbox?
If the latter, saving them to your device first, would be the best option here.
Once they're saved to the device, you can upload them to your Dropbox.
Doesn't the link allow for them to be downloaded?
In that case, I don't think Dropbox can help with this, @MysticLenz.
You might want to reach out to WhatsApp for support and ask them how you can download the files from the link.
Hey @MysticLenz, sorry for jumping in. Since we can’t offer much in this scenario, like Hannah mentioned above, I’ll leave this thread open in case other users have had a similar experience and they can help with this.
I was looking for the same information and found your question. When I couldn't find an answer online what I did (and it worked) was to go to the picture in the whatsapp catalogue that i want (all online not through the app), I right click on it , choose copy image, I had a blank word document open, pasted it in the word document, then right click the pasted picture in word , choose save picture as, and the save as box will appear, choose a file to save and there you go! you have it in your file.
Hope this helps :-)
