How do I set up a folder for guests at a wedding to upload their photos from the event to? I would like to make a QR code to place on the tables so guests can easily upload their moments from the wedding.
Thanks

You can use a File Request to allow people to upload files to you. Pass the link from the File Request through any QR code generator service.
if a guest doesn't have a dropbox account, will this still work or will they be required to create one/download app in order to upload photos?
thanks!!!

File Requests don't require a Dropbox account for the person uploading. They'll just need to enter their name and email address.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have set up the file request and generated the QR code (ADOBE - free) and it's working perfectly in my document to send the photos to the designated dropbox folder. So thrilled!
Is there a setting that will allow guests to see the photos others have uploaded when they upload theirs? If so, would I need to regenerate the QR code to enable it?
Thanks again for your help!
Hope it’s OK to jump in, @marci_risch! When sending someone a file request, they can’t see the rest of the files being added to your Dropbox account, but only the ones they upload. These files are basically uploaded to a folder in your Dropbox account that they can’t access.
If you want them to have view-only access to it though, you can generate a separate shared link instead (this is just for viewing the files, and not for uploading).
Hope this helps!

No, but you can create a view-only Shared Link to the same folder you're using for the File Request, and then create a second QR code for it. Basically you'd have one code to upload and another to view.
Hi Nancy, thanks for jumping in! I have created both the Edit and View-only links, but when I close the dialogue box and click on the copy button, I'm only getting a copy of the Edit link. How do I copy the view-only link? Thx!
Hey @marci_risch - sorry to jump in here, but are you seeing two separate shared links for the files in your sharing tab?
Also, do you need both edit and view only rights on those shared links?
I can see the two tabs, but can't figure out how to copy the link for viewing 🤔
When you are on the previous step (before getting this window) do you see the option to change the default link to the 'view only' one and grab the link from there through the copy link button @marci_risch?
No, it always copies the edit link...
If you access the links from the sharing tab do you also get the same results @marci_risch ?
From the screenshot you sent it looks like you're inside the folder when doing this, that's why I'm asking.
Ohoooo! I see what you're saying and YES! I was able to generate and copy a new, view-only code! Thanks so much!!! m
Glad I could help @marci_risch
