Hi i have a subscription for my users on dropbox. They are able to upload and download files how ever their usage still reads 0 bytes. Why would that be so? and at what point do we see a change in usage size?
Hey @pmcclave! From what I can see, the support agent handling the ticket has replied back, so your colleague can check out his email address again and he should be able to see the response.
Hi Hannah
My colleague can see the same info that I can see, which is Using 158.6 GB of 5 TB. No idea why it shows as 0bytes against his member profile when he uploads the most files along with me.
The main issue is the fact that we can't get Dropbox to work on his laptop, when it was previously. It is saying it is syncing over 800 files, yet it doesnt say syncing issues but his Office PC on the same account says no issues and all up to date.
My colleague has sent a support ticket#24366036 but hasnt had a response yet.
Thanks for the update, @pmcclave.
Apart from the issue with the used space in the Admin console, can you please clarify what other issues this member is having?
Regarding the space usage, what does the member in question see, when checking the plan page in their own account settings?
Yes it still shows the same info when on a different browser. As my colleague is having issues and our IT department can't understand what is wrong, they are suggesting we start to use One Drive for the team folder. I would prefer to stick with Dropbox as we have for quite a few years now without any issues until now. My colleague has over 800 files syncing on his laptop, but on the PC it is uptodate.
Hey @pmcclave, thanks for the nudge here.
Do you see the same thing if you login to your admin account from a different browser or a private browsing window?
Hi Jay. I saw your reply to someone's question regarding storage showing as 0bytes. We have the same issue and the member who is showing as 0bytes is one of two who saves files constantly, so this can't be the case and they are signed in with their email. They are having issues with Dropbox loading on their laptop recently. But are working on the group folder eveyday using their office PC. I have attached a screenshot.
Hey @Radx, welcome back to our forum.
Did you get the chance to check Jay’s post above about your request in March?
Members of the standard team License appear to be using 0 bytes but are able to access large folders more than 2GB what causes that
Thanks for the image, there's two possibilities here. Either those users aren't using any data, so they're using up a license without contributing any data.
Another idea is that they're not signed into their own accounts, somehow, and they're using another person's email to login to Dropbox. It's unlikely, but still a chance it could happen.
So that is the screenshot, and we are contemplating removing the 0 bytes users from the subscription since it appears they aren't using any of the space at all.
Could you attach a screenshot showing this information from a user experiencing this issue on your team?
They are mostly using the desktop app. We are using 0.9TB of 5TB. Some users are showing that they are using space others its the 0 bytes
Hi @Radx, thanks for posting today!
Assuming that they are uploading files to your Dropbox account, which sounds like it's a Business team from your description, then the quota should change.
Are they uploading directly to the site, or using the desktop or mobile app? What does the quota usage show on this page?
This will help me to assist further!
