Hello, I really need help. I already checked the help section on Dropbox's website, the community, and live chat and I'm still experiencing problems. I'm having difficulty in understanding Dropbox and technology, I would highly appreciate it if someone helped walk me through this instead of sending me a link.
I have two local storage drives, Local Disk C: and Windows D : . My Dropbox folder (where files should be syncing) is in C: and I want to transfer it to D :, I also want to make my files in it online-only. I did that by clicking the Dropbox icon on the taskbar tray, profile icon (upper right) > Preferences > Sync > Move Dropbox Folder Location > D : . All it did was transfer my files but not the Dropbox online-only folder. I can't seem to make it sync too because it took up storage space, and it has that grey x icon over my files. When I right-click it, there's no "Make online-only" option. I used Dropbox's live chat support, and they just sent me a link of the same steps I did (https://help.dropbox.com/installs/move-dropbox-folder). The only thing I didn't do is "disable computer back-up" (The in-article link only shows how to set up back-up, not how not to). In the Dropbox community, the solution I found is similar. I can't really try that again because I don't want it to take up more space, when it's all supposed to be online only. I am confused. Help?
