App: Files not showing folders modified by date

Question

I’m using the dropbox app, on iphone 14 pro max. I have a paid plan.

My problem is: when I ask the app (in files) to sort by date, it doesn’t sort any of my Folders by date. Meaning; to get to the last folder I just saved (yesterday, on my desktop), I have to scroll thru literally thousands of files from the last 10 years (on my app) to get to my most recently saved file.

This is not a bug, but an oversight…although I did ask this to be solved about 3 years ago, so oversight is a generous description(!)

£360 later and LOADS of new features (we don’t want / didn’t ask for) but STILL can’t sort by date modified?!? If it doesn’t get solved soon, I think I’ll move to another company. It’s a really basic and necessary feature.

Why is there a button to organize by when it was last modified if it does nothing? This is a broken feature that would be extremely helpful. Instead, I have to go to Windows explorer to organize by date, find the folder name, then search it. It's been like this forever and is broken.

Hi @melanie_rollo, currently, there is no information on when or if this will be added to the Dropbox site or app.
