Markups, typing, and reading progress not persistent when editing a PDF or text file on Android.

Question

This is a bit difficult to describe.

Whenever I am editing or viewing or marking up a pdf or text file on Android (Open with... from the Android Dropbox app) my edits and reading progress and bookmarks and highlights are almost always lost. I've tried bunches of text and pdf editors and readers including the DropBox Android editor (text or pdf). Every few minutes it seems that the apps revert to the last version as saved on Dropbox.

I'd appreciate any ideas on a workaround. I've tried starring the files and "Make File Available Offline". Basically if you don't save a text file every few minutes or before switching screens to another app then the typing will be lost when you come back. Cursor will keep jumping to the bottom of text files, etc.

Thanks. It`s helped me! But, usually, when I have such problems, I use an excellent online typing service which was recommended to me by a literature teacher. These text conversion services provide a variety of text editing tools, including the ability to change formatting, check spelling and grammar, and translate into other languages. This can be very important if you do not have the time or knowledge to do such work yourself.
