Why is my transfer is expiring?

I just received an email that my transfer is expiring and my document will be deleted. Why is this happening? I am not even close to the storage limit of 2GB on my free account. If I cannot keep documents on my account, then Dropbox is of no use to me. Am I missing something?

As for your account, and the files in it, we wouldn't delete your content, without your consent. Even if you used content above your allocated quota.

One more question: If I copy the link and paste it in a text or email, does that also expire?

Hi @Regc, the link expiry is from the site, not if you use it via email, so the copying and pasting it into an email won't extend the expiry date.

I'm still confused. I uploaded a pdf to my Dropbox account in order to be able to view it away from my home. Your email makes it sound like I used your transfer function, which I've never noticed before. If you're not going to delete Megan's file(s) what is the purpose of this email. Sorry, I'm confused.
