Hello
Trying to open a second account but keep getting pushed back to first/old account.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Paul
Sorry for the delayed response as my Ram packed it in, so there was a few days in the shop.
Well sticking with it, ( and the help of a few) got the job done.
Thank you all for you insight and direction into opening multipal accounts on the same device.
In the end ,I used a separate Email acc. and an incognito window as recommended by Nancy.
I am now loaded and ready to get to work.
Your patients and manners did not go unnoticed.
What a nice bunch of people you are.
Greatfully
Hi @zampa, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you signed out of the first account on the Dropbox site when creating the new account from this page?
This will help me to assist further!
Hello Again
Thanks for the reply.
I closed everything and even restarted my computer but everything I've tried always brings back a page that has inserted my files?
I assume I'm missing something...
Regards
Hey @zampa, I'd suggest opening a browser that is not already signed in to your Dropbox account, or even better a private browsing/incognito window.
That should do it!
Started this query yesterday and am still at it.
Have been trying to open a second account on one computer.
It was suggested to open with a second email address but still no luck.
Have also tried chatbots and support, still, no luck.
Schurly one must be able to have multipal accounts on one device as I need the autonomy and ability to keep the projects and teams separate.

You can create multiple accounts, but you can only sync two accounts to a single device if one of those accounts is a Business team account and the other is a personal account. You can't sync two personal accounts or two Business accounts to the same device.
God advice, I'll give it a try.
Thank you.
Still trying to open multipal accounts.
The Community, ( thank you very much), has suggested to try separate email acc., separate browser, and one must make one a business acc. and the other a personal.
This of course does make some sense to this newbie.
However I can't find, when setting up, where to make this distinction...
I don't want to criticize but how can such a great software be so difficult to get into?
It would seem to me a couple of toggles on a set up menu would take care of these simple issues.
Doing my taxes is easier... just saying....
exasperated, but thank you.
Hi from me too, Paul! Hope you’re doing well.
To make sure we’re on the same page; did you open an incognito window on your browser, and try to create a new Dropbox account with a different email address?
If you're having trouble along the way, please send me a screenshot of what you see (just make sure your email address or any other personal info isn’t showing in it).
Finally, I’d kindly ask you to keep replying to this thread (instead of opening a new one each time), so that we can keep everything in one place.
Thanks!
We're happy to see that all went well in the end, Paul!
If you come across any other issues, make sure to let us know.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
