Account messages

I regularly receive an icloud (dropbox) message stating my files will be deleted, is that a message from dropbox? but I don't use much space at all. I don't understand how icloud and dropbox are connected. Can someone please shed some light on this for me. Thank you kindly

Thank you kindly for your response. I suppose that I can therefore identify those messages as phishing spam because they state that it is icloud dropbox and that is what confused me.

Can you provide the full context of the message? Make sure you mask any private information. Dropbox doesn't delete your files, so it's unlikely to be a message from Dropbox.

Thank you kindly for your reply. I deleted it but it comes regularly and I will send it to you.

I feel a bit silly to ask but is Dropbox part of Icloud?

No. iCloud is an Apple product, and a competitor to Dropbox.
