Dropbox app is slow on Windows 11 after software update.

Good morning
I was already working with dropbox on my computer and I NEVER encountered the slightest problem... so, congratulations for that.
I am under w11, all software updated.
On the other hand, I had to recreate an account and since then, the display is phenomenally slow!
It takes tens of seconds before displaying anything, clicking, moving... in short, it's a bore

Hi @erichurtrez, let's jump right into this!

Can you let me know the version of Dropbox you currently have installed? You can find this by locating your little Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi, and hovering your mouse over it.

You mentioned you created a new account: are you referring to Dropbox, or a new user on your Windows?

If you're using your old Dropbox account, do you also happen to know approximately how many files are syncing locally to your device at the moment? Are they more than the soft limit of 300K?

the windows version is 173.4.6706

yes, it is a user account

and the quantity and weight of the files remain the same, since I made a copy of them. (about 1.5 GB)

Hi @erichurtrez, do you notice this behavior with files inside your Dropbox folder, or all the files in your device?

it's only when i'm on windows explorer, in dropbox folder/window...

Hi @erichurtrez, could you try quitting the Dropbox desktop application and then make any changes, moves or so on in the Dropbox folder to see if the behavior continues?

there are still about ten "dropbox" processes launched and that I had to kill

every time I try to access a folder contained in my dropbox folder, a crazy time is requested and a dropbox process starts. I kill the process, but it doesn't change how long windows takes to open the folder...

correction :
- when I open a folder by double-clicking on the folder icon, the time is endless
- if I scroll down the folder tree in the left part of the explorer, then click on the desired folder, then everything is ok, the files are displayed normally, without latency...

Hey @erichurtrez!

Just a clarification; what you mention in your latest message happens even after trying Jay’s suggestion to temporarily quit the Dropbox app, correct?

Also, the issue that you’re having is with your old Dropbox app on your existing user, right? Not with a new Dropbox app that you installed on the new user you created on your computer.
