Forget old Mac and clean install Dropbox on a new Mac

I bought a new Mac (who cares 😅)

The Dropbox folder in my old Mac is 1.6 Tb.

I already have an offline backup of everything on a USB drive, just in case.

I will completely reorganise the dropbox folder on the new Mac, so I don't want to download the old dropbox structure in my new Mac.

What is the best procedure to clean install a new dropbox on my new Mac without reflecting anything from the old Mac?

As it's 1.6 Tb of data, should I delete via browser all the files in Dropbox or is it best to install Dropbox in my new Mac and let the Dropbox app make all the changes between the old Mac and the new one?

I think the best way to go about this, would be to reorganize your files through your account on our website.

 

That way, when you install the Dropbox app on your new Mac and sign in to your account, the new structure will sync, instead of the old one.
