Anyone else finding that since the update, they can't get images to upload to dropbox on their iphones anymore?
Hey @Jodes, let's try one more step, please.
Feel free to uninstall the app, reboot your phone, then re-install. If this doesn't work, take a screenshot of the error message you get, and send it back to me here, so I can have visual too.
Hi @Jodes, I'd be happy to help!
How exactly do you upload the images? Do you use the camera upload feature, or manually by clicking the + button?
Have you tried restarting your phone, by any chance?
Let me know more!
Hey @Jodes, what is the OS of your mobile app, and what about the version of the Dropbox app that you have installed there?
You mentioned you get an error, can you let me know what the error is, please?
Hi @Megan Dropbox version 294.2
software for phone 15.6.1There is no error code, it just says 'couldn't upload file, can you give us more details so we can fix it?' which I've been doing now for days and it isn't fixed. After I get that one it's 'couldn't load file. Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again later'.
Hey @Jodes, do you use camera uploads to sync your content?
Have you tried to clear your app's cache? If not, can you try accessing your Dropbox settings, and giving it a go?
@Megan how would you clear the cache of an app? I don't appear to have any controls to clear app caches in the settings of dropbox, it only shows me what dropbox can access, and under settings my only options are to delete it or offload it but offloading will keep all the data anyway so no effect on cache. I tried googling how but there appears no real way of clearing a cache, just deleting apps.
Hi @Jodes, if you access the app, under Account, then click on the gear icon, and then clear cache.
Hey @Megan thanks for that. I cleared the cache, exited the app and restarted it and unfortunately the exact same issue is still there.
Hi @Jodes, you've never clarified if you click on the + icon to upload content, or if you use camera uploads.
Can you let me know more?
If you're using the latter, can you try switching camera uploads off, then on again?
I tried direct from my photos after taking it to upload that way, as well as from Dropbox app itself, the +. Neither works.

@Megan I deleted and added it back and that has fixed the problem, it seems to be uploading fine now. THank you so much for your help 🙂
Awesome news, @Jodes!
Happy to know everything is back on track. If you need anything, you know where to find me.
Hi @Jubilbae, welcome to our Community!
Which one of our platforms do you use in order to upload content? Our website, the desktop or mobile app?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there.
Hey @Jubilbae, I hope it’s OK to jump in.
Can you please clarify whether you’re unable to upload your files to the Dropbox app manually (by clicking on the + button) or automatically via camera uploads instead?
What happens exactly when you try to add them to your Dropbox account?
Thanks for clarifying, @Jubilbae!
Are you receiving any type of errors when trying to manually upload your files to Dropbox?
Have you tried connecting to a different WiFi network/via cellular data? Do you experience the same behavior if you do this?
Camera uploads doesn't work. Nothing is uploaded allthough it says Backing up and the blue activity bar is moving. It worked yesterday... I still have 527 photos to be backed up on my Iphone 7. I get NO error messages whatsoever.
Do you have enough quota?

Hi @Jubilbae, Do you have any proxy, VPN, security software, or even carrier settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
Could you try connecting to a reliable, stable WiFi connection to see if the files upload normally?
It's possible there's something affecting the upload on a cellular network, hence why I want to try a WiFi network, to further investigate what could be occurring.
Hey @Jubilbae, sorry to jump in, but could you clear the app's cache on your device and then try to upload your files again?
If you still get the same error, please send us a screenshot so that we can have a visual too.
Thanks!
