Sharing from iPhone Photos to Dropbox

Hi. I have an iPhone 12. When I am In its Photos, I want to share a photo to Dropbox, into my chosen folder. I select photo, then the share icon, then Dropbox in the available places/apps, and in the subsequent window the folder I want the photo to go in. All good BUT at that point it is just greyed out and I can’t do the final Save. Anyone else strike this? Answer? Thanks

Hi @foolio, it looks like you're following the the steps to 'share' a file by using Dropbox, instead of saving it to Dropbox, hence why it's asking you for an email address to share it to.

Could you try scrolling down the original options to find one that says save or add to Dropbox? You might need to expand the options or edit them to view all choices.

Would you mind confirming if the 'add' button or the entire screen is grayed out when you get to that point?

Can you share a screenshot with me, so I can check this out?

Also, try opening the Dropbox app and use the + icon to upload the photo, to see if that works.

Hi Hannah. The word cancel is blue (so 'live'); but the word 'Post', the 'Message (optional)' section are grey. In the 'Save To' section it has managed to select the folder I want to drop into, but it's just that the Post option remains grey.

Thanks Jay. That insight led me to check the app options that come up (clicking on the 3 dots to see more). I removed then ‘added’ Dropbox as an app (again) and that has fixed it.
