That doesnt show the error from your link @"cagiali" However, shared folders use up the quota of all involved. So your bosses increased quota will not benefit you. If the folder is over your 2gb allowance you need to upgrade.

What does it say or show when you go to the link? What is the error? Note that you'd need an account AND to be logged in to that account while trying to access the link for it to work

Dropbox Transfer will work - thats what its designed for. You dont need an account to receive things. You just get a link via email which you click on and everything downloads.

Have you tried to reinstall Dropbox? www.dropbox.com/downloading

It takes time to upload them, but, Camera Uploads is by far the quickest way - just dont do it other ways as well because camera uploads wont realise that and you are doubling the workload. You need to leave the app open and let it do it. Alternatively connect to a computer and let it sync. BUT its going to take a long…

The Dropbox website only displays a preview, like all web services this isn't always perfect. However, what happens if you open it in Excel for web on the Dropbox site?

@"SLHSB" wrote:But for now, you are right - if you pay more you get more functionality. Especially when the services cost - storing your data on its own has a cost implication.... without any revenue coming in like places like iCloud do (hardware) or GDrive (adverts).

Thank you To be honest its not something I've seen with many solutions on anything but Enterprise plans - and I use a lot of varying solutions and systems due to my work. If they arent showing on Events then a few things has possibly happened: * They arent on Dropbox and never have been - have you checked you have enough quota to sync? * They have been permanently deleted (this removes all traces of them) * They are in a share which you have been removed from - OR you removed a share…

@"LeonF" wrote:Has anyone ever recovered files or folders you may have accidentally permanently deleted? If so, how do you do it? The only way I can think of is either via a backup OR a device connected to Dropbox which has not yet sync'd the deletion (maybe an infrequently used laptop?).

If you have logged a ticket Dropbox will get back to you shortly 🙂

If you sign in again you will be able to reactivate it however the data within the account which was removed is not recoverable I'm afraid. As the email says about inactivity, it is wiped if accounts are not reactivated.

There is no way to check or know if a link has been sent I'm afraid. You need to ask them, or, copy the link and send it via your own email (which is what I usually do) as I can then include other info with it and I've proof it was sent.

@"AleSoria" wrote: Hello! I used it a couple of weeks ago. And isn’t a paid account. I am devastated I can’t get my photographs back. What exactly is the error? How do you know it was deleted? Dropbox doesn't actually give a 'deleted' message or error upon logging in if it has been.

Sorry I'm confused, where is the symlink on the iPhone or is it on the Mac? Note that Dropbox doesn't support or follow symlinks. However, Dropbox does now upload photos from the photo albums on the mobile device. So its possible it is pulling them from that. You can change it in the 'Back Up...' menu
