If a file is simply replaced within Dropbox then the initial link will be active but the file itself will be updated and changed while the link wont. The person who created the link can see the specific creation date here.
-
Im not sure it will work but have you looked at this article? It may help!

I'm having an issue with this version where on Tahoe 26.5 folders which should have a green tick as set to sync' offline are not displaying correctly and instead its a placeholder sort of image.
-
It's very unlikely you'll be able to, unfortunately. Have you had a look at this help article to see if it can support you? Also, how long ago did you last log in? If it were over 12 months, the account would have had the data wiped, which is unfortunately not reversible.

Hi @scoob What I will say is that when I used live chat it was not obvious that it was doing anything - in fact when I asked questions it attempted to answer but didnt and didnt give an option to say 'that doesnt help' etc. It may be worth trying again, sorry, or even just logging a ticket via email for help as they are…

Have a look over here :)

You wont be charged unless you have put a card on and actively upgraded. In terms of the file/folder has it been removed and you can no longer see it at www.dropbox.com/home? If so it will auto update quote shortly. If you are on a team it can take a few hours.
-
That sounds like an interesting fault!! Not one I've seen before either, out of interest which version of Dropbox are you running? I'm running 2.65 Tahoe without issues here.

Referrals are permanent - what is https://www.dropbox.com/account/referrals showing?
-
What date were they deleted? Was it before the upgrade occured? What is www.dropbox.com/events show? Have you had a look at this and see if its relevant? Deletions can be recovered within 30 days of deletion if you deleted when a free user or 180 if paid. Its not possible to restore beyond those.

Unfortunately its unlikely you can gain access to the account. If you had set the phone number up on the device you'd have been given a SMS option. Its also your responsibility to keep hold of the backup codes - you have to tick to confirm this on setting up 2FA. Try and see if this helps. However, that said, the only…

That would depend upon your browser, but, usually its a menu option like 'File → New Incognito Window'.
-
Have you tried a different browser? Cleared your cache and cookies? Tried in incognito mode?
-
What exactly is the issue? Is this of a shared folder etc.? Unfortunately, there is no way, at all, of getting ownership of an account/file or folder if the actual owner deleted themselves and didn't transfer it first. The easiest and quickest resolution is to recreate the folder yourself and re-share.
-
No. Sorry we cant :( The only people who can are Dropbox support via www.dropbox.com/get_help - choose the Billing Option when at that page
-
Unfortunately its unlikely you'll be able to regain access. Dropbox have said this repeateldy on these forums. The only people and way to get help is via Dropbox support. You need to log a ticket at www.dropbox.com/get_help using the 'Account Log In Issues' option.

You have a second account which you upgraded at some point. Check as @Megan says or check the email address the receipt came in to.
-
So at some point (in 2012!) somebody has signed up via your referral link or because they joined a shared folder you created - that long ago that also used to work and issue referral space. 2012 is when they were referred and signed up but for whatever reason its took to today for them to actually meet the requirements of…

Go to www.dropbox.com/forgot (probably in an incognito window) and use the email to get a password reset on it. You can then use that to log on and either delete the account or change the email on it to a different one to free it up.
-
For info in case this happens to anybody else this usually happens when you have used the select all option to restore files BUT this then also highlights and selects folders which havent been deleted. As these cannot be restored the menu option disappears. Make sure you search through your list and unselect any which…

As in you need to buy a Business Plan or you need to join one? If its buy one just upgrade via www.dropbox.com/plans. If its one to join they need to send you an invite to the Team and then you would join it and then you'd get a pro-rata refund.
-
As long as you reply to the actual ticket, you are fine :) Hopefully it is resolved soon

Does Dropbox have full permission? What happens if you try and activate Camera Upload on the app?
-
What's the best practice for maintaining an accurate orders file that can be updated or notated by three people, sometimes simultaneously? Make sure you are all opening and editing via the website. If you are opening and editing it on a computer it doesnt have simultaneous editing capabilities.
-
Android 12 meets the current system requirements. Have you tried updating the app at all to see if that helps? Or is it 470.2.4 on both?
-
Have you checked the status at www.dropbox.com/support ? Note that, annoyingly, sending in additional comments etc. moves you down to the back of the queue each time. Unfortunately as its now a weekend you wont get a reply until Monday at the earliest. Dropbox only work Monday through Friday. I assume you are a business…
-
Have you tried clearing cache and cookies? What OS version and browser/versions you using?
-
@Neal - do you know when they are migrating everybodys points? Mine are still outstanding.
-
Thats incorrect info I'm afraid. Dropbox does not do this unless you ask and agree to it. For example if you connect Dash to your account (again, its optional to do so) and then connect it to Slack then obviously it will share data with Slack, however, unless you explicitly agree and set it up then it wont.

Has the link been posted publicly at all? The only way people can find the link is if they have access to it - i.e have been sent it or its online. The links are so randomly generated that it isnt possible to guess them. Another thing to consider is that the person who has been sent them is trying to access via another…
