New sync icons - red exclamation point and arrows in a circle
I recently removed several folders from my Selective Sync, and then decided to add them back in. However, after they finished restoring, I now have two new icons that have shown up on some files, a red circle with an exclamation point in the middle, and two arrows in a circle. See the attached screenshot. Dropbox says it's…

New Drobox app is terrible!
If I wanted to look at the latest files uploaded to my dropbox, I'd click on the dropbox icon in my menubar (Mac OS) and click on the folder containing the file that was last uploded as the folder tree was right under the file name. On top of that I could right click the file name in the app, copy a link to these files and…

Files stuck syncing but queue shows nothing
Hello! About three weeks ago, I got a refurbished Macbook Air and transferred all the content from my old Macbook Pro over using Time Machine. Relinked my work and personal Dropboxes from the new computer, etc. Everything is working great EXCEPT my Dropbox has been trying to sync the last 679 files for the entire three…

My Selective Sync settings don't show all my folders on my Mac.
Unsure why, but a folder I generated online and then sent some files to, won't appear on any of the computers selective sync window. Using Mac latest version, 3.8.3. I can't untick that folder. I've tried renaming it, etc but it doesn't help.

Dropbox Cache taking up too much space
Hi everyone, I seem to be having a significant issue with my dropbox, specifically cache. Over the past week, I noticed that the storage available on my mac had dropped from 63GB to 4GB (of a 128GB SSD). After some digging, I found that the cache was the cause of this. I tried deleting it once I found it to be the cause of…

How can I stop "turn on accessibility" from appearing?
I cannot get the box "turn on accessibility" off my screen. I used to check "not now" routinely but now it will not accept no. The "community forum" has not addressed this exact issue. I recently upgraded my MAC OS to Big Sur 11.2.1 FYI, I did consider turning on accessibility but I am uncomfortable with the privacy…

Missing "Copy Dropbox link" from the drop-down menu on Mac.

I have unlinked and re-linked…

Smart Sync enabled still taking up hard-drive space!
I noticed others have had this issue, but I have some files selected as "online only" via smart sync and they are still taking up space on my hard drive, causing my mac to tell me I'm running out of hard drive space. It's happening with multiple files, but I've included screen shots for one as an example. I'm running MacOS…

I thought I had uninstalled the application but the folder is still visible (Mac)
I feel very stupid asking but here we go... I wanted to uninstalled Dropbox from my Mac so I signed out of the account and simply threw the application into the bin thinking it would just delete everything. The bin has since been emptied and the application can't be found anyway. However, I can still see the folder in the…

A bunch of my files went to Zero Bytes on Mac
I'm a videographer, and last week I took and copied around 700gb of footage. I imported them all locally to a folder in the root of my Dropbox. Dragging file - copy vs. move
I use Dropbox to move files between Mac computers (OS 10.11 and 10.13) and Windows computers (Win7). When I drag a file from the Dropbox folder to a Windows local folder, it COPIES the file. When I drag a file from the Dropbox folder to a Mac local folder, it MOVES the file (i.e., deletes it from the Dropbox folder). Why…

Smart Sync "online only" option doesn't show up in the menu (but local does).
As you can see, there is no option for "online only" here. I have gone into "preferences" and enabled smart sync (which required going into system preferences to give it permission). That's all squared away. I also added the option to automatically make folders online only when they're out of use for awhile (apparently…
