How do I stop sending screenshots to Dropbox and instead go to my Macbook Desktop
Hey @allisonelaurel, thanks for posting to our Community today!
If you want your screenshots to stop getting saved to your Dropbox account, you'll need to disable the feature in the Dropbox app's preferences.
You can follow the steps here and on the last step, choose to toggle the option to "off".
Let me know how it goes.
I use the website, not an app. Now what? thx
The feature that enables you to save your screenshots to Dropbox is only available on the Dropbox desktop app so you must be using that as well @allisonelaurel. Do you see a Dropbox icon in your menu bar by any chance?
Hi. Thanks, I don't see a Dropbox icon in my menu bar.
That usually means that the Dropbox desktop app isn't running on your computer @allisonelaurel. Could you search for it and launch it from your computer's applications? Once you've launched and see the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, you'll be able to access the app's preferences to change your screenshot settings.
I double-click on Dropbox in my Applications folder, and it opens a box with a list of links to all my Dropbox folders. No icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Could you send me a full page screenshot of how this looks like on your end so that we can have a visual too @allisonelaurel?
