Hello,
I am experiencing a connection problem with the Dropbox desktop application on Windows 11.
The Dropbox website works normally in my browser, and I can sign in to my account and access my files online. However, the desktop application cannot connect and shows the following message:
“No Internet connection. Your computer is not currently connected to the Internet. Check your connection settings.”
I have already tried the following:
- restarted the computer and Dropbox;
- signed in to Dropbox through the browser;
- uninstalled and reinstalled the Dropbox desktop application;
- performed an advanced reinstall;
- checked Windows Firewall permissions for Dropbox;
- checked Microsoft Defender;
- confirmed that the Windows proxy server is disabled;
- reset DNS, Winsock, and TCP/IP settings;
- confirmed that the Internet connection works normally in other applications.
The issue still persists. Several of my colleagues in Kazakhstan are experiencing the same problem at the same time, which suggests that this may be a regional connectivity or routing issue rather than a problem with one computer.
System details:
- Windows 11 Pro
- Dropbox desktop version: 260.4.2926
- Location: Kazakhstan
Could you please confirm whether Dropbox is currently experiencing connectivity issues in Kazakhstan and advise whether there is any recommended workaround?
Thank you.
