MacOS 15.7.7. Spotlight search not finding Dropbox files

MacOS: 15.7.7

Dropbox: 260.4.2926

It seems this issue has been happening for a while, when searching files/folders through spotlight or Finder, no results are shown. Making the files/folders available offline do not make them show up. I've tried the following without success:

Spotlight Privacy > Click the plus and select "Macintosh HD" drive into the privacy list. Wait about 30 seconds, then select the drive and click the minus (-) button to remove it. It may take around 30 minutes or so but macOS should re-index the files

Reinstalling Dropbox, force quitting/relaunching Finder.

If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Hi @PrintDirtCheap, could you clarify what error you're getting when attempting to search in the desktop app or the Dropbox site?

Are you getting this error in any browser you use to search for files?

my team is also having trouble with search. it is not working on the mac app nor online. just started today. Can any one from DB advise if there is a known issue?
