We use Dropbox to share files in a group. Recently a user found after editing a spreadsheet that they could not upload it to their Dropbox folder (using a Windows script they had used successfully for years). Unfortunately, instead of asking for help they spent some time trying to sort the problem out themselves, including re-installing Dropbox and installing Dropbox Lite from the Microsoft Store. They are using Windows 10 with 0patch and the problem was actually caused by a recent patch. This was a known problem which I fixed with a series of Windows commands supplied by 0patch.
So now we needed to re-install Dropbox. I went into Windows Settings and uninstalled the Dropbox app showing (it was very small ~40K, so may be something to do with Dropbox Lite?). Then downloaded a clean version of Dropbox and installed it. But just before the installation completed a message cam up saying the the installation could not complete because there was a version of Dropbox in Microsoft Store. However, I cannot find any version of Dropbox in MS Store or via Settings/Apps. A complete Windows Restart made no difference. Has anyone a solution to this problem? Could it be a oPatch problem?
