How can I stop the Dropbox desktop app from saving my screenshots to my Dropbox folder?

I have seen this questions many times here, and I just don't understand that immoral practice of forcing things without the consent of the user. How on EARTH can I stop Dropbox from keeping the screenshots in dropbox folder? The "Save Screenshots to Dropbox" is disabled, and Dropbox still save them (this immoral behaviour started few weeks ago, for no reason)

If I didn't have to use Dropbox because it is what my company uses I would uninstall in an instance.

I am using a desktop version on windows 11

While we do appreciate your feedback here, it does sound like an actual issue rather than expected behavior, so let's see what we can find.

Can you send me a screenshot of the setting for this feature from your Dropbox app preferences? You can see the steps to find it here.

Also, if you hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray, what's the sync status and version of the Dropbox app?

Have you tried uninstalling the Dropbox app, restarting your computer and then reinstalling it, when you noticed the issue, to see if it helps?
