The desktop app keeps silently crashing on two different Windows 10 computers

Question

I have been using Dropbox for years. for the last year Dropbox disappears and fails to sync. The Icon in the taskbar disappears why is unknown to me. the sync stops and makes a mess of the workflow. Using Dropbox with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering and other high end graphics software. this happens on a Windows 10 machine and on a Window 10 machine. it happens for no apparent reason, all of a sudden it is gone, usually when I need it most. I can understand one machine but two independent machines is a baffle. we have spent hours try to get Tech Support and my IT Consultant to figure it out. Absolutely no help. I uninstall and then reinstall and normally it will work for a few days and then all over again. I am at a loss and now looking for an alternative to Dropbox when I install new computers next month. I have 6 machines utilizing Dropbox and multiple remote consultants. Community input appreciated. MER

Which version of the app are you using?

Also, how many files do you keep in your Dropbox folder(s)? Can you right-click on them, then go to properties and send me a screenshot of what appears there?

Do you keep all of them available locally (available offline)?

FYI my IT Consultant has done the advanced reinstall on both machines several times. He was able to find a setting the did fix the problem but did not hold. Because this is happening on two separate computers I believe it to be a Dropbox issue, not a local problem,

At the moment the W11 machine reads 'Up to date', the same for the W10 machine. This morning around 9am I had to reinstall on each. that will last for a day or so and the randomly fail again. This had been ongoing for months.
