Good morning
I have one folder in File Explorer which stopped syncing back in October of last year. Can anyone suggest why this might be and a solution. There is no issue around dropbox capacity.

Thanks for your post, @Jay_Rayner, and sorry to see that you're having this issue.
Can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray and let me know the sync status and version of the Dropbox app?
Is this happening with just this one folder? Are other files in your Dropbox folder syncing as normal?
I'm assuming you've restarted your computer during this time, right?
Keep me posted!
It has been showing one fault for a while now. I click fix. It opens a dialogue box, saying the fault is with 'data', asking me to open permissions to fix it. I do so, and click give permission. After a minute or so it tells me the sync issue has been fixed. But then within minutes the fault reappears and I do it again. Seems to make no difference.
I have a lot of folders within dropbox. the issue is with this one folder.

Hi @Jay_Rayner, in your Dropbox folder, where exactly is the Data folder located?
Is it in the root (main) folder) or in a subfolder in the Dropbox folder?
Unfortunately it does not say and a search for a data folder with an issue didn't show me. My suspicion is that there is one data folder inside the problem folder which is causing the issue.
If you search for the folder through the search bar within your Dropbox folder, do you get any results, Jay?
Yes indeed, but none of them show an issue. i've also searched in the specific folder that's the problem and isn't syncing. Is there not a way to manually get a folder to sync?
Could this folder be part of a backup of yours, assuming that you're using the Dropbox Backup feature? Or maybe you've selectively un-synced it from your computer?
If that's not the case, have you tried moving the folder out of your Dropbox folder and then back in @Jay_Rayner?
I'm happy to say that moving the folder out of Dropbox and then back in seems to have done the trick. it's updated. Thank you to both of you for the help.
I still have one Data folder which is showing as an issue but I can't tell if it really is a problem, if that makes sense.
In that case, can you quit and relaunch the app and if it persists try signing out from your account and then back in through the app's preferences.
Keep us posted Jay!
