Getting an error that the desktop app couldn't rename my Dropbox folder - how can I stop this?

Dropbox is trying to install over my existing installation "Couldn't rename Dropbox to make room for your Dropbox folder".  I just want to get rid of it but it's only try Again, or Choose another location. I just want to stop the install but cannot figure out how to quit

Did this happen after you signed out and then back in to the Dropbox app?

When you signed back in, did you actually sign in with the same account info as before?

Also, when you say that you want to get rid of it, can you clarify what exactly? Are you trying to remove the Dropbox app?
