I'm working with two Windows laptops and get conflicted copies. What can I do to resolve this?

Good morning,
I have searched but been unsuccessful in finding help for my specific issue. Please direct me to the correct place if I have missed the relevant response. Otherwise, here is my issue. I work across two Windows 11 laptops. It is just me, no teams involved. Regardless I often get conflicted copies in Computer B when I have finished and saved my work in Computer A. Is there a way that I can resolve this? I would appreciate your specific instructions if there is a way to accomplish what I want. Thanks much.

Generally, conflicted copies happen when files get edited by multiple computers at the same time. When changes are made to the same file at the same time, the first computer to sync the change "wins".

A conflicted copy is created when the same file has been modified from two different devices generally, but not always, at the same time. Normally this would be from two people opening and saving the file at the same time. Dropbox syncs the first save, tries to sync the second and sees that both have changed, so it syncs the second save as a conflicted copy.

It can also happen if you open and save a file on one device and then not give it enough time to sync before opening the same file on another device. For instance, if you save a file and then shutdown the computer before Dropbox has finished syncing, you could end up with a conflicted copy if you open and save the file on another device.

For the files in question, can you see the updated copy on the Dropbox website before opening them on the second computer? Basically, confirm that the file is synced and try again to see what happens.
