Export folder of scattered files on Android to access from a third party app

Hello, I'm on Android, trying to access files from a third party app. I can't seem to find the files on the local device even when I have them marked as offline accessible. I see there's a way to export an individual file, but the large number of files I'm trying to have access to are spread through a bunch of folders and I need to keep the folder structure intact, so it's not feasible to manually download each file. Is there a way to get my Dropbox files into a folder that I can access with a third party app somehow? This seems like a pretty basic use case so I'm frustrated I can't seem to find a way to do it.

Hey @Ryan J. - thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community!

Your best bet would be to save a copy of the files you'd like in a new, separate folder and then export them from there directly.

It sounds like you're recommending copying all the files into a flat folder structure? Unfortunately that doesn't work, the folder structure contains a lot of contextual information that I need.

From my searching, it looks like I'm the past one could access the available offline Dropbox files on Android without having to use an awkward workaround. Is there really no way that I can access my Dropbox files that I've marked to be available offline using an app other than Dropbox? That'd be ideal, but it seems like it's not permitted

The files would indeed need to be exported to the device in order to be accessed by third party apps.

But, there's no way to export a folder?

Correct, you can only export files through the mobile app and not folders.

There's more of a single solution here, just sync the folder using your computer and then transfer it to your device manually.
