Hello!
I have had Dropbox crashing on my Windows 11 machine for some time now, I have the most updated version and the workaround I have found is to end the Dropbox task and restart the app.
Please help!
Sorry to hear about that, @alexmakin.
Before looking into this further, can you send me a screenshot of your current Dropbox app version, so as to have a visual, too?
Other than that, I'd like to know the exact number of files located within your Dropbox folder. You can double check this by right-clicking on the folder directly and going to its Properties. I just want to make sure that there are no more than 300k files within, which can potentially cause performance issues to the Dropbox app.
Let me know when you’re ready.

Hi @alexmakin, thanks for the screenshots.
Just for clarification, is the Dropbox desktop application crashing (as in quitting unexpectedly) or freezing?
Does it stop responding entirely at random points, or during a sync?
Any additional information would be appreciated!
Thanks for the reply!
It stops syncing randomly and becomes unresponsive. I can't right click on the taskbar to access it at all.
Could you try reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application, without uninstalling it first, by using this link?
Hey @alexmakin, did you try the reinstall Jay suggested above?
It seems to be holding stable for now!!
