Will the Dropbox app notify us if we edit online-only files from two computers at the same time?

Hello, I was looking around to use dropbox for my work. In my line of work, we use a lot of CAD program files. Because, of that it take a lot of space to have all the files in every pc. When we use those files at the same time,  the dropbox is notifying us to avoid double wolkload. My question is does this feature works for the online option, too?

To open and edit an online-only file, the file first needs to be downloaded/synced to your computer.

That means that online-only files cannot be edited anyway, so consequently, you won't receive any such notification.
