As of now folders don‘t get synced automatically when you wake up your macbook from standby. I always need to manually stop syncing and continue it.
Hi @abschmidt, let's dig deeper to see what we can find about this!
How long has this been an issue, and what OS do you use on your MacBook?
When you wake your device is the app open and running? You can check its syncing status by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon in your menu bar, next to your WiFi. While you're at it, please let me know the Dropbox app's version too.
Lastly, when you say you stop syncing, do you mean that you quit the app and then restart it, or something different?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
Hey Maegan!
Dropbox version is 232.4.5988, MacOS 15.6.1. When you open the laptop the app says files are synced but they aren't. Then I open the drop down menu from the menu bar and at the bottom I go to "stop syncing" and then back to "sync now" (using the German version so I'm not sure what the actual words are in the English version). Then it syncs and my files are actually updated. Otherwise the app works fine, it just won't sync directly when you open the laptop.
Thanks for the update here, @abschmidt.
Have you tried to uninstall the Dropbox app, restart the computer and then reinstall it, to see if that helps?
Hey @abschmidt! Did reinstalling the Dropbox app seem to help in the end?
If not, let us know and we’ll check this further.
