If I make changes to the excel file on my Dropbox account and then go to my ipad and open the file through the Dropbox app, it is an older version. It even says that the file hasn’t been modified for several days. What am I missing?
Thanks!

Hey @Coachhomer - sorry to hear about this.
Can you please let me know if you're able to see those changes/edits on the file if you log in from a web browser on your iPad instead of the Dropbox app?
Also, what is your device's OS version and the version of the Dropbox app? Did you try clearing the app's cache since you first noticed this?
Let me know more and we'll take it from there.
Yes I do see the edits through the web browser. Both devices have updated software.
I see, thanks for clarifying that @Coachhomer
In that case, I'd recommend clearing the app's cache, logging out and back into your account in the mobile app after rebooting your iPad and if you still have issues with this, just let us know.
I cleared the cache on the app on the ipad and then closed the app and restarted the ipad. When I go and modify the file on my MacBook and save and close it, I then open the Dropbox app on my ipad and the file hasn’t updated. It has been 5 minutes
It just updated. Took 7 minutes. Is that typical?
It would depend on the size of the file, your internet connection and the amount of edits @Coachhomer
Are you noticing this only on this specific file or others as well?
Have you tried another network perhaps?
My network is very fast. Doesn’t matter where I am. It is a small excel file so it really should update immediately based on other cloud based software that I use… Box, Egnyte, etc. Don’t know why it isnt updating quicker.
I see, thanks for clarifying that for me @Coachhomer
If you notice it again in the future, let me know here and we'll take it from there.
