I am running dropbox on MacBookOS Big Sur on my MacBook (Retina 12-inch early 2015).
Suddenly the dropbox icon has disappeared from the Menu bar and when I move the dropbox folder to Favorits in Finder it is stored under iCloud Drive
Any ideas ?

Can you clarify your computer's OS version and if you've tried reinstalling the app since you first noticed this?
When it comes to moving your Dropbox folder, I'd appreciate some additional information and/or a screenshot too.

I am using MacOSBig Sur version 11.7.10.
When I move a folder in my dropbox to Favorites in Finder I get the message that the folder will be removed from my dropbox account (re : attached screen shot)
I have not tried to reinstall the app. How do I do this ?

I can see some syncing icons on your files in your screenshot so the app must be installed on your computer and running at the moment.
Could you try rebooting your computer and/or refreshing your Finder and let me know if you can find the Dropbox icon in your menu bar then?
