I cannot see whether or not I'm eligible for the File Provider version of Dropbox

According to the article found here:

https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-for-macos-support

I should either see a "Get started" button, or a message saying I'm not (yet) eligible for the upgrade to use the macOS file provider version.

However, I do not see this button, nor this message. I am currently running v213.4.4597, and I believe it is the most current version as of right now.

Should I see either the button or the message, or is there a third state where neither is visible?

I have some programs that would really like to try to open files in my Dropbox folder, but they obviously does't understand the placeholder files, so I end up having to manually sync these files to my mac, and if I understand it correctly the fileprovider will handle this transparently.

So I would really like to know if it is possible for me to upgrade, and if so, how?

As a first step, you let us know what the current location of your Dropbox folder is, as seen in the Sync tab of the Dropbox preferences?

And can you send us a screenshot of the Sync tab as well?

Also, what is your macOS version?

Current location is:
/Users/lassevk/Dropbox

macOS version Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91)

I am not able to upload a screenshot here, I only get "File Not Allowed", but since this is Dropbox:

Since I have to scroll to see all of the contents of the sync dialog, I took two screenshots, they overlap.

Please let me know if you require anything else.

Hi @LasseVK, I hope it's OK to jump in.

Do you have any external drives connected to the computer in question/Dropbox app perhaps?

Also, how many files do you have in your Dropbox folder in Finder currently, including any online-only files?

Currently no external drives connected.

Current statistics for the Dropbox folder on this computer is 42.09GB across 1.279 files. All offline at the moment, due to how these programs doesn't handle non-offline files.

Anything else I can look at?

If you've previously tried the FileProvider experience and opted out to leave that experience, we will assume you that don't want access to FileProvider in the future. We're currently working on improving this experience so that these users who have previously left the FileProvider experience can voluntarily migrate to FileProvider if they choose to later. In the meantime, if you sign out and sign back in, that will erase our record that you previously downgraded then you should be able to migrate to FileProvider at that point (once you fully sync after logging back in).
