The Linux exclude add [folder] command deletes the [folder] on the server

This is an issue I saw in the community 4 years ago without a solution. I experienced this problem today on my debian Server.

Dropbox daemon version: 213.4.4597

Dropbox command-line interface version: 2019.02.14

The funny thing is that already 6 years some folders are nicely excluded on the server without any problems. But we cannot add any new folder to it.

Is this occurring for any new folders you're trying to exclude from syncing on your device?

Could you attach a screenshot showing this and the events page showing the deletion?

Here is an screenshot.

But on the events page no deletion. On windows desktop folder: test is available. But gone on the linux server

Just for clarification, when you say 'deleted from the server', did you mean your Linux machine or the Dropbox site?

The exclude feature should be like the selective sync feature, meaning there won't be any local copy of the folder since it's deleted from that specific machine, and not the site.

As far as I can see, it seems to be working normally, as the local copy of the folder isn't there. What behavior were you expecting?
